1. Polyester Filament
Crude oil still keeps rising. The cost of polyester raw materials remained strong accordingly.
On the production side, affected by the rising price of raw materials, factories continued to increase the prices. During this hot season, the downstream is still reducing their grey fabric inventory and increasing their demand for polyester products. The polyester market has relatively low inventory, and it’s still easy for the price to go up but difficult for it to go down in the short term. Furthermore, Chinese National holiday is coming soon. It’s important to make a purchasing plan in advance. In the long term, it’s necessary to pay attention to fluctuations in raw material prices, polyester load, and the situation of production and sales.
2. PSF
Last week, the price of PSF products increased a lot, following the trend of the cost of PSF raw materials. During the night trading session, Crude oil remained strong, and the futures of polyester raw materials and PSF fluctuated at a high level. Factories’ quotations increased on weekends and remained stable in the morning session. It’s important to keep an eye on the trend of polyester raw materials and make a plan in advance.
3. VSF
The VSF market remained positive and confident, and has an even tighter supply at the moment. It’s estimated that there will be a peak period of replenishment at the end of this month. It’s expected that factories might raise the price this week. It’s recommended that you keep a slightly high level of inventory within your risk tolerance range.
4. Spandex
Supported by the cost side and the downstream demand, the price of spandex remained strong. On Tuesday, the market focused on procurement based on firm demand and was active in shipping goods. Some mainstream factories released news that they would like to increase prices this week. It’s important to keep an eye on it and it’s suggested that you purchase as per your firm order and demand or stock up moderately.
5. Nylon
The price of pure benzene continued to pull back. With a tight supply, the price of CPL remained strong, but the downstream gradually showed the fear of high prices. Following the trend of contracts, the price of high-speed spinning chips went up. The price of conventional spinning chips remained strong and high. The downstream nylon yarn market focused on replenishment when prices were low. The price of PA66 has stopped rising temporarily, and most buyers have finished centralized replenishment.
The supply and demand of pure benzene still remained high, but the final price can go up or down due to financial influences, so risk control is important.
